Informed Consent

This informed consent form is required by California Law: SB-577 Health: complementary and alternative health care practitioners.

By entering into this practice with Heather Horbatt you understand:

1. Heather Horbatt is not a licensed physician.

2. Stillness Touch is alternative and complementary to healing arts services which are licensed by the State of California.

3. There is no licensure for Stillness Touch in the state of California. Work is governed by standards for practice maintained by the Dynamic Stillness School. Heather Horbatt adheres to these standards.

It should be understood that Stillness Touch is a complementary healing art. A Stillness Touch practitioner does not diagnose, prescribe for or make therapeutic claims for any specific illness, condition or disorder. The intent of this work is to support the recipient’s holistic health, and the resources within for self-healing.

Stillness Touch is not a replacement for medical care, psychotherapy or psychiatry, physical therapy or massage, yoga instruction, work with a nutritionist or dietician, or any other form of licensed healthcare.

If the recipient has any health concerns, they should consult an appropriate licensed healthcare provider prior to engaging in this work. Heather Horbatt assumes no legal liability for the recipient’s participation in session work.
